TERMS AND CONDITIONS
HEALTH AND WELFARE
  • Vaccinations and annual boosters must be completed at least 7 days prior to arrival
  • Please ensure your cat is given a veterinary recommended/prescribed flea treatment 48 – 72 hours prior to arrival
  • If your cat shows any signs of flea infestation whilst staying with us, we reserve the right to treat it with an appropriate product after consultation with your vet, and a £7.50 charge will be added to your invoice
  • We are unable to accommodate un-neutered cats over the age of 8 months
  • If your cat is suffering from any infectious or contagious disease on arrival we will not be able to accommodate it
  • By signing the booking form you are agreeing to allow us to call a veterinary surgeon on your behalf, should we consider it necessary. Every effort will be made to contact yourself or the emergency contact number provided before contacting the veterinary surgeon
  • Riverside Insurance covers your cat for up to £2000 of emergency medical treatment (this does not include pre-existing conditions). Where possible we will contact and use your own vet, and any further charges will be payable to your veterinary surgeon on your return, or added to your invoice
  • We are happy to medicate your cat whilst staying with us, and there is no extra charge for this. The owner is a trained veterinary nurse, and so providing the cat is amenable, we can administer tablets, liquids and injections etc
  • If multiple trips to the vet are necessary, or your vet is more than 10 miles away from the Cattery there will be a small additional charge for transport
  • Caring for elderly and disabled cats is not a problem and where possible we will cater for any special requirements. Please ensure that this is discussed before arrival so arrangements can be put in place
  • Only cats from the same household can share a pen. We reserve the right to separate if we feel housing cats from the same household in one pen together is causing them undue stress. The cost of any further extra accommodation will be met by the owner


ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
  • Please ensure your cat is transported in a safe and secure carrier
  • Our cattery meets all the guidelines set out by The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018, and is fully licensed by North Somerset Council to the highest standard (033801), you accept that your cat is boarded with us at your own risk
  • An up-to-date vaccination card must be produced for each cat on, or prior to, arrival
  • If you are unable to collect your cat yourself, please ensure that the person you send is able to handle your cat safely
  • Please contact us as soon as possible if you aren’t able to collect your cat at the agreed time
  • If any cat is not collected within 15 days of the departure date, and we have made every effort to contact you, your emergency contact, or to arrange alternative accommodation, we reserve the right to re-home your cat
FEES, AMENDMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS
  • We respectfully ask that all fees are paid at, or prior to, the departure of your cat
  • Our fees are charged by the day, which includes the day of arrival and departure. For example, a 4 night stay is charged as 5 days
  • We do not offer half-day rates for early departure or late arrival
  • Our minimum reservation is 3 days throughout the year, and 5 days at Christmas
  • We accept payment by cash, cheque (payable to Bindy Cardy) or bank transfer only, as we do not currently have a card payment system. If paying by bank transfer, this must be done prior to collection of your cat
  • Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit which is £25.00, or 20%, whichever is greater
  • If you need to cancel your booking, we ask that you try to give us as much notice as possible. If cancellation occurs with less than 10 days notice, we will unfortunately require full payment
  • There will be no reduction in fees if you bring your cat later than the agreed booking arrival date, or collect earlier than the agreed booking departure date
  • If you do not turn up for your booking at all, and haven’t contacted us, the full fee will be due for payment
